Jealous of Prison Inmates - No More!

Are you watching the new show, Alcatraz? Or, are you familiar with what an Alcatraz prison cell looks like?

Their cells look like that.

Anyways, we started watching this show when it premiered a few weeks ago. Overall, I'm not sure that it's amazing. But they keep showing those cells. And what I see is those two shelves. Awesome bookshelves. I'm SO envious of those inmates with their bookshelves.

Or, I was jealous of their bookshelves.

Last week, I went to Target and bought three inexpensive bookshelves for less than $20 each. I assembled them and put all my crap on them and I'm quite pleased.

Even more pleasing? I'm no longer considering doing something to necessitate a prison sentence just to have a place to store my books. Awesome.

Oh my goodness! You make me giggle.

On the whole, I think buying the bookshelves was probably the best option. Good call!

We NEED more bookshelves. If I put some on the wall, maybe I'll put a toilet underneath, just for ambiance.

I've taught in prisons. Nothing to be jealous of the inmates for, I promise.

Every time I have moved,(about 20 times) the first thing to be unpacked is my books. I have reached Nirvana in that my landing (big) is completely lined with bookshelves, full to bursting, with more books in every room. How on earth did you manage before buying the bookshelves???

The house I'm in now is a house that I plan to stay in for a long, long time. The reason it was "the house" for me? There is a study, and an entire wall of the study had built-in bookshelves.

So glad you won't be committing a felony for two measly shelves! What a bookshelf bargain you found! I have some shelves waiting to be assembled but, sadly, nowhere to put them.
